3D Animation

BODY MECHANIC

This animation focuses on refining space switching while transitioning seamlessly between IK and FK. The goal was to maintain fluid motion and believable weight shifts as the character interacts with the pole, ensuring continuity and control throughout complex transitions.

POPCORN HEAD (2025)

From late April to June, the AIE Film and VFX classes collaborated on a short film, allowing us to apply our specialisations in a real production environment. We worked closely with director Lucas Hinkley to realise his concept of transforming a character’s head into popcorn.

This project gave me valuable insight into how a VFX pipeline differs from a fully 3D animated pipeline. During pre-production, Justin Tod Pearson and I gathered visual references using PureRef and explored multiple design iterations through dailies. My design was selected and developed further for the final asset. Justin sculpted the final model, and I was responsible for animating two shots.
