“Ceramic Stories [digital connections] presents diverse ceramic sculptures, objects and installations fused with digital activations.”
I had the opportunity to assist in bringing Casey Chan’s delicate painted motifs, used in the artwork Loving Cup (2022), to life. “Digital elements, including augmented reality, virtual reality and animation, invite all of us to play and interact with the work in surprising and experiential ways.” The concept of incorporating emerging technology to bring audiences closer to traditional artwork was developed by curator Elaine Kim.
I was responsible for creating vector files from the selected paintings and animating them to flap their wings using Adobe After Effects.
